“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”~ Les Brown
I am constantly amazed at how little faith people have in themselves and how much doubt, fear, and insecurity lies in those weak and sad hearts of theirs.
Wherever you look, you see people struggling, doing things that they don’t enjoy doing, staying in relationships that suck the life out of them, walking on paths that are damaging and self-destructive, giving up on themselves, their dreams and their lives, but ironically, not on the many toxic things holding them back in life. And behaving in ways that make them feel as if there’s no hope left in this world for them.
Because they believe every toxic thought that runs through their minds, and because they identify themselves with every negative and self-defeating thought that they think, they can no longer see things clearly. They can no longer find the strength and willpower to dream, to hope, and to believe that things will ever get better. And so, they live their lives as if they are already dead.
“There are people moving around us who are consumed by their past, terrified of their future, and stuck in their anger and jealousy. They are not alive; they are just walking corpses.” ~ Thích Nhất Hạnh.
Don’t be one of them. Don’t limit yourself.
A New Beginning
Way too many people limit themselves to what they BELIEVE they can do. Know that no matter who you are, no matter how old you may think you are, and no matter what your life situation might look like, it is never too late to start all over. Never too late to rebuild your life and make it ridiculously amazing.
Each moment is a new beginning. Each day is a new life. And if you believe in yourself, in your dreams, and in life itself, then you will most definitely find the inner strength, wisdom, courage, and confidence to keep on going; to make all your dreams come true and create the wonderful and meaningful life you were intended to live.
The New Testament says it so beautifully:
“If you BELIEVE, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” ~ Matthew 21:22
And it really doesn’t matter if you’re a religious person or not; It really doesn’t matter if you perceive yourself as a spiritual or non-spiritual being.
“If you BELIEVE you can, “you’re halfway there.” ~ Theodore Roosevelt
