There are so many things happening in the world right now. So much stress, panic, disorder, and anxiety that seems to be present everywhere. And even though it can be so easy to get pulled into all that chaos and lose ourselves into the darkness, we have a choice not to go there.
9 Healthy Ways to Deal with Anxiety Now
1. Pause, pay attention, and change!
Because this will help you shift from living on auto-pilot and being ‘unconscious’ – thinking the same harmful and self-defeating thoughts over and over again – to becoming ‘conscious’ of the thoughts you’ve been thinking so you can change them!
You change the toxic thought to its opposite. And from feeling a negative and unhealthy feeling, you train your body to also feel its opposite.
You are the one who gives the orders to the body. And not the body who gives the orders to your mind, and to you.
If for example, you think a thought that tells you:
I am not safe.
You immediately pause and change it with it’s opposite:
I am safe!
I have learned this amazing trick from the brilliant, Dr. Joe Dispenza. And I have to tell you that it is a simple yet powerful tool that will help you take control over your own mind and help change the quality of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
You do this whenever it is needed, and as often as necessary. And even though it might feel impossible at times. The more you practice it, the better you will get at it.
Trust yourself. You can do this!
Believe it or not, you are not a helpless victim. Nor are you at the mercy of everything that’s happening all around you.
On the contrary!
You are a powerful creator.
With YOUR thoughts, you give life to your feelings. And with YOUR feelings you influence how you live your life.

3. Take responsibility for EVERYTHING.
When we’re down, feeling scared, anxious, terrified, and afraid – blaming outside experiences for our misery feels like a safe thing to do. And even though it feels safe, it’s not.
Blaming is a waste of time and energy. It does no good. Not to you and not to those you are blaming. There is no safety in blaming.
The only safety comes from taking back your power and redirecting your thoughts – not toward resenting your dreadful past, and fearing the present – but in creating an image in your mind of a wonderful, loving, bright and fulfilling future. And then taking the necessary steps that will help you start all over and rebuild your life from scratch.
Things can change.
Your health, your relationships, your sense of self-worth, and your whole life can change for the better.
You are not stuck where you are.
You can move. You can grow. And you can become all that life created you to be. But you first have to believe that all of this is possible.
You have to believe in yourself. And you have to give yourself permission to move away from everything and everyone that keeps you from spreading your wings so you can fly freely.

Thoughts are like passing clouds. There is no real essence in them. The only truth lies in the stillness behind those many loud and noisy thoughts.
And you, are one with that stillness.
Don’t believe everything that you think. Just because you have a thought about something it doesn’t mean that thought is real and true.
Learn to practice discernment.
Learn to discern between that which is true and that which is falsehood. Between that which gives you life and sets you free, and that which binds you and keeps you stuck and trapped in fear, anxiety, panic, and suffering.
It has been proven scientifically that what we focus on can be brought into existence – from energy to particle and from wave to matter right in front of our eyes. This means that where we focus our thoughts, energy, and attention, we lay the foundation for the life to come.
With that being said, it is important to remind yourself as often as needed that your mind and body are your own.
You are the one who should be in control of your thoughts, feelings, energy, and attention. And not to give them away to forces outside of you.
Forget about the news and all the drama. Forget about what other people are saying. And forget about everything that is ‘not right’ in the world.
Choose to take back all the energy and power you give away to forces outside of you. And use it to create a better life for yourself. Place your attention on something that will enrich you and your life.
Give your energy to your mind and body – to create better health and to support you in your healing journey.
Make your joy. sanity, health, and well-being a priority. And take a break from this unhealthy need to always ‘stay informed.’
Exercise isn’t just for those who want to look good and be fit. But also for those who want to feel good – in mind, body, and spirit.
There is power in moving your body. There is freedom and there is health. Make good use of this power.
- Take a walk.
- Do some squats or push-ups.
- Practice Yoga.
- Do some jumping jacks.
- Whatever feels best for you, do that. Keep your body moving. And notice how much better you feel afterward.
It is important to remember that physical exercise plays an important role in releasing stress and anxiety.
When you move your body, you take good care, not just of your physical health, but also of your mental and emotional health by releasing the stuck energy points and by freeing your body of all that dense energy that was once stuck within your cells and tissues.
Energy is meant to circulate through the body, and not to get stuck in the body. And the more you keep your body moving, the more you free yourself up of all that stuck energy.
7. Commit to a daily spiritual practice.
You and I know that there are things, problems, and experiences in our lives that are much bigger and a lot more complex than the ones our rational minds can solve. And just as Albert Einstein said it so brilliantly,

We have to find a way to go beyond the mind. We have to find a way to surrender our will to the Greater Will of the Divine within us. And we do this through prayer, self-love, meditation, mindfulness, and contemplation.
In doing so, not only will we soothe our many fears and anxieties. But we will also be able to reconnect with that part of us that lives in Truth. Love, Peace, Thankfulness, and Surrender.
8. Focus on your breathing.
Taking a few minutes to do focused, intentional breathing at a slow pace can help you fend off an anxiety attack. When you take long, thoughtful breaths, your brain gets the message that everything is okay and it’s time to relax. ~ Sarah Brown
When things get too intense, when we fall into the many traps of stress and anxiety, we usually forget about our breath. Our breathing becomes shallow or too intense. And without wanting to, we fall deeper and deeper into the abyss of fear, panic, and anxiety.
But there is no need for that.
There is power in breathing. There is healing and there is peace. And when we pay attention to our breath – when we take our focus away from our thoughts and place it on our breath, not only do we reduce our anxiety levels, but we are also lifting ourselves above fear. And from that peaceful and serene space, we can see life with new eyes…

Oh, the therapeutic power of journaling. It takes away the pressure of your many thoughts and feelings. And helps you realize that the many fearful and terrifying stories you’ve been telling yourself for days, weeks, months, or even years are not even true.
Writing your thoughts down on paper is a therapeutic journey that will heal, not just your anxiety, but also your life and the many relationships you have; especially the relationship you have with your own Self and Inner Being.
There is no need to overthink it.
All that you need is a notebook, a pen, and a willingness to allow your thoughts to flow freely on paper.
That’s all there is to it…And I know for sure that you can do this.
And these are the 9 healthy ways that can help you deal with anxiety now. All that I have shared with you are tools and techniques that I practice daily. And they help me tremendously. Not just to get rid of stress and deal with anxiety. But to keep my energy levels high, to stay grounded and at peace, and to enjoy life even in the midst of chaos.
