Is Being Man Enough, Good Enough?

You’re not man enough!

You’re too weak.

Men don’t cry!

Get up and be a man about it!

You have to be tough!

Are you man enough?!

You’ve gotta be strong!

Toughen up!

Is Being Man Enough Good Enough?

We live in a world where we raise our boys to be “tough’ and our girls to be “soft.” Women to be weak, and men to be strong. And in this process of imposing our many misconceptions and limitations about how men and women should be like onto them, we fail to realize that we are raising our children to become somebody they are not.

Women have it hard in this world, no doubt about it. But men do too. And this powerful video of Justin Baldoni on Why I’m done trying to be “man enough” is a reminder that we are all in this together – men and women, and that together we can heal our deep-seated wounds and live a life that is authentic, meaningful, and full of love.

Is Being Man Enough, Good Enough?

This video touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. And I’m sure it will do the same for you.

Enjoy 🙂

Humanity as a whole has been suffering for a long time because of the many labels we have placed onto ourselves and onto one another. And the time has come for us to open our eyes and realize that by labeling our fellow men or women, we are in fact negating them the right to be all that they were created to be.

“The world of humanity is possessed of two wings: the male and the female. So long as these two wings are not equivalent in strength, the bird will not fly.” ~ Abdu’l-Bahá

We are all One – men and women. And together we can heal all of our wounds so that we can all go back to living our lives in alignment with who we were created to be.

May we all find the inner wisdom to do just that.
