Become The Kind Of Person You Would Love To Date

Whether we like to admit it or not, we all long for love. When dating, we all dream of a magical relationship that will bring out the best in us, making us feel alive, blissful, happy and ecstatic.

And in order for us to experience this kind of love, in order for us to have a magical love relationship, we first need to learn how to make peace with who we are; we first need to learn how to love ourselves with the same intensity that we would want to be loved, and we need to learn how to become the kind of person we would love to date. And today’s blog post is all about that.

“Find the love you seek, by first finding the love within yourself. Learn to rest in that place within you that is your true home.” ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Here’s how to become the kind of person you would love to date:

How To Become The Kind Of Person You Would Love To Date

1. Don’t go around looking for LOVE

“Those that go searching for love only make manifest their own lovelessness, and the loveless never find love, only the loving find love, and they never have to seek for it.” ~ D.H. Lawrence

Don’t go around looking for love, let love find you. Get busy loving, enjoying and living your life, and let love find you doing things that bring you joy and happiness.  Let love find you blissful and content, not sad and unhappy because you haven’t yet found your “better half”.

2. Drop the “other half” idea

Don’t go around looking for someone whom you think has to give you something that you yourself are lacking.

Drop the “other half”, “better half” idea and know that you don’t need another person in order for you to become whole and complete since you’re already all of these things.

Seek to attract someone with whom you can share the beauty and the splendor of the love that’s already present within you both, not someone to “complete” you.

“Love is sufficient unto love. And think not you can direct the course of love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.” ~ Khalil Gibran

3. Purify your Heart

Work on purifying your heart so that you can recognize whether the hearts of those you meet are also pure. Cleanse yourself of everything that’s dark, negative and harmful and by doing so you will easily make the difference between those who truly love you and who have your best interest at heart, and those who truly don’t.

4. Build your Integrity

Integrity is all about aligning your mind with your heart and making sure that you always live your life from a place of truth and love.

People who have integrity are very clear on their values, on who they are, on what they stand for, and they never settle for anything less than what they deserve. And that is why is so important to build your integrity so that you can never allow your fears, doubts, and insecurities to make you settle for anything less than the best.

5. Let go of fixed plans and concepts

Forget about all that you have learned. Let go of fixed plans and concepts about love, about relationships and about how you would want your ideal partner to be like and keep your mind open to what is. Instead of stressing, planning and worrying, focus on loving life, loving yourself, and loving the world around you.

6. Learn to enjoy your own company

If you want to be in a relationship with someone who loves being around you and who enjoys your company, you first need to make sure that you yourself are comfortable with being alone with yourself, and that you yourself enjoy your own company.

Take time to be alone with yourself. To know yourself and to love yourself. Give yourself permission to do nothing; to spend more time in solitude; to think less and to feel more; to love more and to fear less; to express yourself in creative ways, to spend less time criticizing and judging yourself and more time accepting, nourishing and loving who you are.

7. Get passionate about life

There’s nothing more beautiful than a person with passion. Nothing more attractive than someone who lives their lives with full intensity and who infuses love into all that they do. The more passion you bring into your life, the more radiant you seem to become.

“The most beautiful make-up of a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy.” ~ Yves Saint Laurent

Get passionate about life. Surround yourself with beauty and authenticity. Immerse yourself in thoughts that make you feel good, in activities that make you feel alive. Spend your time with people who bring out the best in you and give yourself permission to feel fully alive and happy.

8. Become the person you would love to date

Seek to embody the qualities, the traits, and attitudes that you would want your partner to embody. Seek to become one with those things that you know for sure you would love your partner to have. If you want them to be loving toward you, start by being loving towards yourself.

If you want them to be kind, generous, compassionate, caring, etc., seek to become all of these things. Become the person you would love to date and see how many wonderful things start happening to you as you do this.
