Use Your Talents - Give More Receive More

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything you gave me.”Erma Bombeck

If you had $1 billion dollar, would you still be doing what you are doing, living the way you are living, dressing the way you are dressing, talking and behaving the way you do now? Believe it or not there are people who answer yes to this question and you know why? Because they are already doing many of the things they love and money has little or no effect in their life.

“I try to give to the poor people for love what the rich could get for money. No, I wouldn’t touch a leper for a thousand pounds; yet I willingly cure him for the love of God.” Mother Teresa

How does your life look like at the moment? Are you happy with your current situation? Is there meaning in your life, is there enough love surrounding you? When you offer the best of you to the world, do you expect anything in return? What are the thoughts that run through your mind? You can give without expecting and still receive a lot in return but the thoughts that run through your mind when you give make a huge difference in the level of happiness present in your life. Do you give from a place of love, pure love?

“Pure love is a willingness to give without a thought of receiving anything in return.” Peace Pilgrim

Pure love is what you experience the moment you identify what is it that you love to do more than anything in the world and then give that love to the world. Not sure how many of us have discovered this and not sure how many of us believe this to actually be true.

There is something that makes us feel so alive when we are making good use of our unique gifts and talents, and that’s the moment we are able to understand what pure love is really all about and how much pleasure comes our way just from giving something we love so deeply. We give without expecting anything in return and it makes us feel so good right?

What is it that you love to do, what do you think are your unique gifts and talents, who are the people that inspire you the most, and why? Usually you will be attracted by those people who have something you want to have or who are something you want to be and by paying close attention to their gifts and traits you might be able to discover what yours are.

Way too many of us live life in a way that is not beneficial to any of us, and we are just going from one day to another feeling more and more drained, depressed and victimized. Don’t let that happen. No matter if you are 20, 50 or 80 years old, there is always something you can do to improve your life, and if you want to achieve that then the best thing to do would be getting off the path you are now on and stepping on to the path you wanted to be on for so long. It’s that simple. The mind will try to convince you that it is way harder and way more complicated that it actually is, but deep down inside you know it’s as easy as saying yes or no. It may take you some time to get used to the idea and some extra time to actually take action but it will be worth it.

There will be times when you will feel like going back to the old way of living your life for you will be too scared to continue and because it might feel too painful, but it’s important to remember that “Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor.” Dr. Alexis Carrel

Find your talents, find your unique gifts and share them with the world for then and only then you will understand what life is all about, then and only then you will discover the power of pure love.

And if you don’t know what these talents are because you have been doing things that had no meaning to you all of these years, then you might want to go ask your friends what is it that they think they are. Ask them questions and what’s most important, ask yourself questions for all the answers you need are already inside you.

“Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.” Anthony Robbins

It’s always sad to see wasted potential and talent. People would often be happier in general if they really were pursuing their passions in life to their best ability. You don’t often read about people who sat around and wasted their potential. Human beings are capable of so much greatness… Why would you not want to be a part of it? Great article.
