How To Heal Your Limiting Beliefs

We can heal our life as fast as we can heal our beliefs, and that can happen in an instance.

Can you believe that one hundred years ago to have a car was science fiction? Do you ever think how much the world has changed? Do you ever stop and how much our capabilities, our beliefs, and limits have changed?

I know I do, and even though I sometimes think that there is nothing more we could do, there is nothing more to be created and discovered, I know this isn’t true, and I know that as long as we will live and as long as we will keep on dreaming, people will be transformed, wonderful things will continue to happen and great changes will take place.

There is no end to that, there is no end to how much we can grow and how much we can improve ourselves and the world around us. The moment we choose to focus our attention on something, whether it is a new idea, a thought or a new belief, the things we focus our attention upon will eventually change our life, our world. They will eventually change our reality, creating something else, something new, something better. This is a never ending process I would say.

If this is true and if it’s so obvious, why is it that so many of us choose to impose so many limits on ourselves and on those around us? Why is it that we choose to build so many walls and live the kind of life so many of us are in fact living? Who in their right mind will choose to live a mediocre life when there is so much brilliance in each and every one of us? Who in their right mind will choose to focus their energy, time and attention on that which is lacking rather than on the abundance that is all around us?

If you look around, you will notice how much this planet is really offering us all, and how little it asks in return. The air that we breathe, the Sun and the Moon, the water that we just couldn’t live without and many other gifts that we take for granted. If that is the case, why would anybody say that there is scarcity in the world? Is this scarcity really in the world or only in ourselves, in our minds and in the way we see our reality?

I would say that there isn’t anything like this in the world, but only in our mind and because of the way we think, we are in fact creating more of it, we are attracting more scarcity in our life, more people that will give us reasons to be frustrated, more events and circumstances that will make us feel stuck, and this why we will never run out of things to complain about. I know I have recently read an article about an experiment that was made in 1990 in the state of Iowa, USA where at the Maharishi International University, a group of people were trained to feel peace, not to dream about it, not to wish for peace and hope to eventually happen, but to feel it within them, and when that happened, the state of Iowa experienced a significant decline in crime rate, traffic fatality rate, and unemployment and this took place for a number of days, and when the experiment stopped, things went back to how they were before.

If you aren’t familiar with The Maharishi Effect, you should know that this is a phenomenon of the rise of coherence in the collective consciousness of any community and according to the many scientific researchers that took place over the years, when one percent of the population of a city, country, when one percent of the whole world practices the Maharishi Effect, the crime rate significantly decreases, there is a significant reduction of crime and accidents, as well as an increase in stock prices, decreased pollution, decreased unemployment, and decreased hostilities between nations.

As you can see, what we feel on the inside is what we attract on the outside world, and for those that need hard data in order to believe such a thing, the example above is just perfect. If you look around, if you look at your life right now, the life of those people you love and care about, the life of us all, you will understand why things are the way they are, and why we are going through what we’re going. Just think about it, we don’t need a reason to feel something, we don’t need a reason to feel at peace and to feel happy, and when we realize this, when we accept this as being true for us, when we accept it and when we start believing it, not only our life will be changed, but also of those around us.

We are all interconnected, and although for those people who see themselves as being better than everybody else would have a hard time accepting this idea, the Maharishi Effect is one of the many examples to prove us just that. The moment we choose to fight against another we are in fact choosing to fight against ourselves.  We love to play the victim and we love to tell everybody about our misfortunes and how bad life treated us so far. We choose to be the victims of our own history instead of writing the history. Why not change this once and for all? I know it’s possible and you know it too, deep down in your heart you know it, it’s just that you are afraid to admit it. You are afraid of what this may bring in your life and of the changes you will have to face. You are afraid of the unknown, for you see uncertainty not as a path to freedom, but as something to be afraid of, as something to stay away from.

There is nothing we should fear about, for fear is just an illusion, and if that is the case, why not use our fears as signals that are trying to tell us something? Why not use your fears as signals that will eventually help us move toward something greater than ourselves, toward something we haven’t experienced before. Every time you feel the presence of fear in your life, use it to your advantage, rather than running away from it like you did before. Make it your ally, your friend. I know so many people who do just the opposite, and whenever they feel like fear is coming their way, they start running as fast as possible, for they are afraid of being uncomfortable, they are afraid of stepping into the unknown. It’s that simple for them. Why would they complicate their life, right? The interesting thing is that these are the people who complain the most like they have any right to do it…

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?” ~ Marianne Williamson

If we want things to be moving in a new direction, if we want to make some changes for the better in our lives, and if we want to see how our world is changing, we need to work on becoming that which we want to experience in the world. It’s that simple. For something to exist in the material world, it has to exist in consciousness first.

Have you ever noticed how we are often experiencing in our lives that which we identify with in our beliefs? We are the ones who are creating our own reality, while at the same time experiencing that which we have created. If there are limits in the mind, there will be limits in our lives, if there is poverty thinking in the mind, there will be poverty in our lives, if there is fear in the mind, fear will also be present in our lives.

The moment we choose to change our beliefs, the moment we identify those limitations that were so deeply hidden in our subconscious mind, that will be the moment our life will start to change, that will be the moment our life will be transformed. Our beliefs make us who we are and because of them, we are where we are at this moment.

There are people who choose not to listen to those around them who are constantly trying to tell them everything about what they should and what they shouldn’t do, about what is real and what is not, about what is possible and what is impossible, about what is true and not so true, and they choose to go their own way, they choose to believe something that is completely different from what most of us believe. They create their own world, their own reality.

These are the people you need to look for if you want to change your beliefs, for they are the ones who can help you break free from your past conditioning, from your old limitations. These are the people who can help you create a paradigm shift, a new reality for yourself and for those around us… and eventually, your new beliefs might help others break free of their old patterns and limiting beliefs.
